    Lake Littoistenjärvi got slightly frozen last night. The ice was just thick enough to carry the swans, but they had trouble with climbing onto ice from water.     Visited this morning Lake Littoistenjärvi. Morning was clear but cold and windy. Whooper swans and mute swans are waiting the spring to come. Equipment: Olympus E-M1X, M.Zuiko 300/4, extenders MC-14 and MC-20.

    Paimio Sanatorium

    Visited yesterday Paimio Sanatorium, which was originally built in the 1930’s as a tuberculosis hospital. Buildings and furniture are designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. Edit: Equipment, if someone is interested: Olympus E-M1 Mark II, M.Zuiko 7-14/2.8 Pro and M.Zuiko 12-40/2.8 Pro.

    Another grey day in December. Visited our bird feedings in the woods, no beautiful lights but here are some samples. There was a lack if light, shutter speeds were about 1/100 – 1/200 seconds with full aperture, ISOs from 4000 to 6400. I shoot bird photos usually with shutter priority program with continuous AF and…
